Bill is an accomplished and results-oriented professional with more than 30 years of pharmaceutical and medical device sales, marketing and business-development experience.
Bill began his career at Merck, where he worked as a district sales manager for over 14 years. In 1988, Bill developed and led Merck’s first national account team. This innovation was to address the changing market of physician decision makers to managed care decision makers. He was director of national accounts with nine national account executives reporting to him. Bill was promoted to Senior Director at Merck in 1988.
In 1993, Bill became Vice President of Managed Care Initiatives, where he and his team changed the way in which H. Pylori was treated in the major Managed Care organizations. This initiative was supported by the AGA and deemed a huge success by their leadership team.
In 2000, Bill became National Sales Director of Odyssey Pharmaceuticals where he designed and deployed their national sales force and national account management strategy. Under Bill’s leadership, Odyssey grew sales exponentially.
In 2006, Bill took on the role of Vice President of Sales for Catalent Pharma Solutions where he built a team of seasoned professional who outperformed expectations.
Bill’s experience in designing, building and deploying successful teams of sales professionals and national executives for organizations of all sizes and products in a variety of formats is well suited for the innovative solutions required to serve Wisdom CSO’s valued clients.
